Each day that the Utah Legislature is in session, the House and Senate prepare a Journal of the days activities. The Journal does not record the debate, but it does record all motions and actions of the Legislature. The individual vote of each legislator is recorded on the final passage of each bill in the House and on the Second Reading and final passage of each bill in the Senate. The activities of the Legislature are governed by a set of Legislative Rules which may help you understand what is recorded in the journals..
