              APPLICATION OF LAW ENFORCEMENT
              SALARY CHANGE
              1996 GENERAL SESSION
              STATE OF UTAH

          AN ACT RELATING TO STATE OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES; PROVIDING SALARY
          STEP INCREASES FOR CERTAIN STATE PEACE OFFICERS; AND PROVIDING AN
          EFFECTIVE DATE.
          This act enacts uncodified material.
          Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
              Section 1. 1996 Salary step adjustments.
              For 1996 only, all peace officers, as defined under Section 77-1a-1 , who are employed by
          the Department of Natural Resources and the State Tax Commission shall receive a two step salary
          increase.
              Section 2. Effective date.
              This act takes effect on July 1, 1996.
