             (Consideration of minutes of the October 18, 1995 meeting).

9:05 a.m.    2.    Future Transportation Corridor Preservation
            
(During the June meeting the committee voted to have draft legislation prepared to establish a revolving fund. The committee also voted to encourage the Department of Transportation to work with cites and counties on this issue and bring some recommendations to a future meeting. The draft legislation has been prepared based on input from the task force. Additional recommendations are expected).

9:50 a.m.    3.    Pedestrian Safety in School Construction
             (During the August meeting the committee voted to form a working group made up of legislators, school district, UDOT, PTA, city, and county representatives to address the issues of providing for pedestrian safety in school construction. Draft legislation has been prepared based on the working group's input ).

            
10:30 a.m.    4.    Public Utilities on Highway Rights-of-Way
             (Introduction to the issue of who should pay for the cost for relocating utility lines on highway rights-of-way during highway construction projects and a discussion of ways to reduce the cost of relocation).

10:45 a.m.    5.    Motor Carrier Regulation
             (How should the state respond to the federal government prohibiting states from regulating price, route, or service of motor carriers? Since the August meeting when the committee discussed this issue, an ad hoc working group has been meeting. Draft legislation has been prepared based on input received at these meetings).
