2:05 p.m.        2.    Revenue Update

2:20 p.m.        3.    Telecommunications Study
    
            Last year the Legislature directed the Tax Review Commission (TRC) to conduct a study of the taxation and regulation of the telecommunications industry. A two-year study was developed by the TRC which included contracting with the Policy Research Center (PRC) at Georgia State University. A summary of the PRC's research and recommendations and a summary of the response to its work from the TRC's June 7 public hearing will be presented to the committee.

3:30 p.m.        4.    Income Tax Check-offs

            At its last meeting the committee approved drafting a bill that would automatically repeal any income tax check-off program (other than political check-offs) receiving less than $30,000 annually for three consecutive years. The committee will review a draft bill to implement the concept.

3:40 p.m.        5.    Property Tax Relief

            As follow up to its last meeting, the committee will review issues relating to property tax relief.
