        *    Approval of minutes of December 12, 1995 meeting
        *    Questions regarding written handouts:
            -    Summary of Health and Environmental Legislation passed during 1996 General Session.
            -    1996 Committee Meeting Schedule
            -    1996 Sunset Reviews

8:10 - 8:50    2.    Review Need for Individual Study Items - S.J.R. 18, Master Study Resolution, 1996 General Session, contains about 15 study items related to health and the environment. The legislator requesting each study item has been invited to explain the item to the committee.
        *    Explanation of need for studies (two minutes per study item)
        *    Committee questions

8:50 - 9:10    3.    Departmental Suggestions for Legislative Interim Study - The Department of Health, the Department of Environmental Quality, and the Health Policy Commission will brief the committee on items each agency considers important for interim study this year.
        *    Department of Environmental Quality
        *    Department of Health
        *    Utah Health Policy Commission
        *    Committee questions

9:10 - 9:25    4.    Committee Discussion of Priorities - Members of the Health and Environment Interim Committee will discuss what the committee wants to study and accomplish this interim. To save committee meeting time, voting to prioritize the potential studies will be done by committee members' completing a prioritization survey.
