2.    Colorado River Development
    .    Larry Anderson, Division of Water Resources
    .    Don Christiansen, Central Utah Water Conservancy District
    .    Moon Lake Water Users Association

        In the 1996 General Session, the Legislation enacted a resolution urging the Department of Natural Resources to investigate the feasibility of leasing a portion of Utah's allocation of the Colorado River. The proposal has raised the question of what is the potential for development of the Colorado River. The speakers will address issues relating to the development and lease of Colorado River water.

3.    Final Deer Management Plans
    .    Bob Valentine, Division of Wildlife Resources

        In 1992 legislation was enacted to require the Division of Wildlife Resources to prepare a management plan for each deer and elk herd unit in the state and to report progress on the plans to the interim committee.

4.    Predator Control
    .    Bob Valentine, Division of Wildlife Resources

        Mr. Valentine will discuss what the division is doing to reduce wildlife losses from predators.

5.    Fish Hatchery Spending Plan
    .    Bob Valentine, Division of Wildlife Resources

        In the 1996 General Session, the division was appropriated $1,930,000 for the rehabilitation of fish hatcheries. This money will be matched with funds awarded by the Utah Reclamation, Mitigation and Conservation Commission.
