Legislator Voting Records
Voting Records: 2006 General Session or
Historical records since 1997
NOTE: Please be aware that since the 2003 session,
the legislature is recording
ALL roll call votes, not just the votes on the final passage
of bills. When you see or select a vote, please use the link that
takes you into the Journal where the vote is recorded to see
exactly what is being voted upon. The bill listed is the bill
that was under discussion when the vote was taken. The vote MAY
NOT HAVE BEEN ON THE BILL LISTED. It may have been on an amendment
or a procedural matter while the bill was being disucssed.
(NOTE: Only subscribers can use this service. The Free One-Day
password will NOT work with these voting record programs.
You CAN SEE the kinds of information a subscriber can get by
clicking on either the Individual Legislator
example page
or the Bill List example page.)
This page uses a set of database programs to let you research
the recorded Roll Call votes from the Legislative Journals for
the 2006 General Session of the Utah Legislature. The Journal for
each day is usually available overnight. Votes on one day are
therefore available the next excpet the last day. The journal for
the last day can take 10-15 days to be prepared
and released by the legislature.
There are two ways to access the database:
- By Legislator: You can click on a legislator's name and
you will get a page that lists that legislator's entire voting
record for the Session by bill in bill order.
- By Bill (or list of bills) You can enter the bill numbers
of up to 10 bills at a time and get a chart that lists all the
legislator's votes for selected votes on those bills in a chart form.
