Bills QuickLinks:
Our database search lets you quickly find a voting record by bill or by legislator. The database is updated every night with the votes cast that day and is archived so you can access it anytime you wish in future years.
The list shows the actions that have been taken by the Governor and communicated to the legislature on passed bills. Governor Huntsman has vetoed HB 42 and HB 279. He has also vetoed line items 18, 164, 168 in SB 3, one of the appropriations acts. The codes are: GSIGN, signed by the Governor and will become law; GVETO, vetoed by the governor and will not become law unless the legislature overrides the veto within 60 after the end of the session (April 29, 2005.) and GLVETO, the Governor vetoed line items of an appropriations bill.
The list also shows the effective date of each bill. Each bill will be given its onw chapter in the Laws of Utah, which is the official report of the bills passed at the session. This list indicates the chapter number for each passed bill (except those that were vetoed.)
NOTE: All bills that passed have now been put in final form (enrolled.) You can access just the passed bills from the links below.
The Legislature can override a veto at a veto override session if they call such a session and get a 2/3 vote. If a veto is overriden, the bill will become law despite the governor's veto and we will remove the "vetoed" flag from these lists.
