• Governor's Vetoes

  The Governor vetoed 8 bills outright and veted two appropriation line items from another. The legislature overrode the veto of one bill.

• Legislative Bills for 2002

  All bills considered or passed at the 2002 session are available at this link. Introduced bills, amended bills, substitute bills and enrolled (final version as passed) are all searchable and available here.

• Voting Records and Journals

  The voting records as extracted from the journals are available for all votes taken this session. The voting records for the entire session are available now. Each legislator cast something over 2,000 recorded votes this session. The Journals show the context of each vote and links take you right to the text of the bill voted on. The Voting Records let you easily see how all legislators voted on any bill or how any legislator voted (or didn't vote) on all bills. Voting Record research is easy with this service.

  This feature offers two services:

  The first service will let you select any Representative or Senator and see how they voted on every bill listed in the Journal on one page just for that legislator. This voiting list is created as a single printable document.

  The second service will let you select a bill or a list of bills and how every Representative or Senator voted on those bills. This is also created as a single printable page.

  NOTE: This service will NOT work with the free password but will work for a paid subscriber using their subscription access.

• Adjournment during the Olympics

  The legislature adjourned during the Olympic games from Feb. 8th through the 24th. This reduced the working days of the session from 33 days to just 22. In order to ameliorate this problem, the legislature held Committee meetings (both Appropriations and Interim) for the two weeks before the session offically began. This committee work prior to the session is intended replace some of the committee work that is usually done during the session and a larger portion of the remaining 22 working days of the session can then be taken up with floor time debating and voting on bills.
