Utah Legislative Journals

[ VOTING RECORDS abstracted from these journals ]

Each day that the Utah Legislature is in session, the House and Senate prepare a Journal of the days activities. The Journal does not record the debate, but it does record all motions and actions of the Legislature. The individual vote of each legislator is recorded on the final passage of each bill and on any other motion that is subject to a division or recorded vote.

The activities of the Legislature are governed by a set of Legislative Rules which may help you understand what is recorded in the journals..
