- 2000 Utah Legislative Report - NEW
LAWS
See all changes
in the Utah Code made by the 2000 General Session of the
legislature. Check any section or chapter you are interested in and see
exactly what changes have gone (or will go) into effect due to this year's
actions by the legislature.
This is the only place you can look up the new laws by Code Section until
the new code comes out electronically in May (on this website) or until
the print editions come out in July or August.
-
The Governor vetoed five bills outright and vetoed line items in one other
bill. He also allowed three bills to go into law with out his signature.
We have put a list of these actions with
links to the letters explaining his reasons
for these actions on our site.
The Legislature has until May 1st to hold a veto override session if it
intends to attempt an override of any of the Govenor's vetoes.
We will post a notice here if the legislature does in fact schedule
a veto override session on any of these bills.
- PASSED (Enrolled) Bills (COMPLETE)
All the bills that passed the 2000 Session have been
put in final form (enrolled) and are listed here.
- Introduced Bills
(All versions of all bills)
- Personalized Tracking List
This service for subscribers will let you make and keep your

up your list gives you access to all data of any sort about each
bill on your list including: text, amended versions, substitutes,
status, fiscal notes, exactly where in the process your bill resides,
where in any committee agenda or minutes or any day's journal your
bill is mentioned.
- Voting Records of Legislators on Bills
Subscribers can pick a list of bills and see how all legislators voted
on the bills in the list. They can also generate the compelte voting
record for any legislator on all bills.
- Daily Schedule of ALL Bills to be considered.
NOTE: THIS ONLY WORKS DURING A SESSION.
This page will create a list of EVERY committee's agenda and
ALL floor calendars. That is EVERY BILL that is presently scheduled
to be considered by the legislature anywhere either today or
tommorrow. (You select which day's list you want.)
It also gives you a list by BILL NUMBER of all the bills on any list.
Print this page and take it with you if you go
to the capital to follow or influence legislation.
- Past Session Bills
For bills from previous sessions, check our
historical database.
