Code-Co is a Utah corporation
that publishes state
law. We publish state statutes, state appellate court opinions,
state court rules, state legislative information and state
administrative rules and regulations. In Utah we publish, in
print, the Utah Advance Reports,
the Utah Code Annotations, the
Utah Index, the Utah Legislative Report, the Utah Tax Code
and a number of other paper publications. (For information on our
paper publications, click here.)
We have more than 14 years of experience in publishing legal
information on paper.
The next step, electronic
publication, is a natural for us.
Our paper publications have always been published using
computers, electronic databases and telecommunications.
Our company came into existance because of the advantages
of PC computers. (Four years before the term PC was invented
for personal computers, Code-Co was using three of the
orginal business PC's (CPM computers for the computer buffs)
to produce the first soft-back edition of the Utah Code.)
We started our World Wide Web page in a big way at the end of 1995. We began by providing up-to-date information on the Utah State Legislature. By the time the legislature adjourned at the end of February, 1996, we were maintaining over 8,000 seperate data files updated several times each day. The next services to be added were the Utah Code and the Utah Advance Reports.
We will constantly be working to expand and improve your access to Utah Law on this page. It is our focus to provide you with an easily used method and a single and consistent source to find exactly the piece of Utah Law you need right now.
Part of this service is a paid subscription service available upon request. We also provide a significant part of the information free to the public.
We hope this service will be of use and value to you. If we can ever improve the service or solve a problem, please call Toll-free: 1-800-255-5294 or E-mail. (Send your email to our General Manager, Byron Harward at byron@code-co.com. He will make sure you get a prompt response.)
